XULRunner GRE Installer
This is a non-official ditribution of XULRunner from Mozilla Project.
The
idea is to use XULRunner like a virtual machine for "xulapps", and make
everything simple for end user: i'ts about download and install
XULRunner system-wise only once, and next download .xulapp file, double
click on it and get installed on the system.
The "XULRunner GRE Installer" contains:
- XULRunner package from Mozilla site.
- XulappsInstaller, a XUL application to install, uninstal and list installed xulapps
The system should work on every platfom XULRunner supports. For now there is only a Windows installer.
The install xulapp should be able to handle any xulapplication package xulrunner can install with --install-app command.
The
exstension .xulapp is registered by the installer, so double click on a
.xulapp file will launch the install xulapp, with info readed from
application.ini file in package.
If in package is present a file called "description.txt", his content is displayed to the user.
On Windows a link to the application is created on desktop
The
Uninstall functionality is not full working at now. (You have to remove
files yourself... ok. is't working at all. But the application is
removed from the XulappsInstalled database :) )
